Tranquillity
Art helps my wellbeing because it gives me a way to deal with my emotions when I don’t know how else to express them. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed, anxious, or just off, and picking up a pencil or brush helps me work through all that. It’s especially helpful when I’m struggling with mental health - art becomes a kind of outlet, a way to get what’s in my head out into the open without having to explain it in words. It helps me process tough emotions and makes them feel a little less heavy. Creating something, even if it’s messy or not “perfect,” is really calming. It slows my mind down and helps me relax, even if just for a little while. There’s also something really satisfying about finishing a piece. It gives me a sense of pride, like, “Hey, I made this.” That small feeling of accomplishment reminds me that I’m still capable, even on the hard days. Art doesn’t magically fix everything, but it definitely makes things more manageable. It’s my way of coping, expressing, and feeling a little more in control when life gets tough.
