The Trust-led art competition illustrates how art and creativity can improve your wellbeing. 

Our ‘What makes me happy’ art competition was launched in June and was open to people living in Derby and Derbyshire.  The aim was for people to create a piece of art to share on what makes them happy. 

We received a number of entries from children, young people and adults, from service users, carers, staff, Trust members and the public. Shortlisting recently took place – all artwork was anonymised during this process. 

Finalists and winners

Those shortlisting found it a real privilege to look at all the entries – they were all so different and a pleasure to see.  We would like to thank everyone for taking the time to enter our competition. 

It was really difficult to choose from all the entries but here are the finalists:
