Our Special Schools nursing team work in a number of schools in Derby and southern Derbyshire for children and young people with complex needs.
What does the team do?
Pupils at special schools may have varying levels of needs and problems including the need for gastrostomy feeding, or heart and breathing problems. Our nursing team provide medical support, giving regular support to each pupil based on their individual needs.
The team work closely with our children’s occupational therapist and physiotherapists.
