Derbyshire Healthcare’s Communications and Engagement team has been shortlisted for a national award for its efforts to raise awareness of the new East Midlands Gambling Harms Service – and it’s up to the public to decide who wins… vote-1804596_1920 (1).jpg

The team is in the running for Best Communications Team at this year's Comms2Point0 UnAwards – the winner of which will be chosen through a public vote using an online voting system – after using innovative ways to promote the Trust’s free NHS gambling service across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland.

The team’s campaign has focused on breaking down stigma and encouraging people to come forward and get support, from clinical professionals who have changed lives.

As a result of the comms campaign, the service is seeing a steady rise in referrals from people of all different backgrounds. The number of people accessing support has increased by 10% in the last 12 months, and women now account for 27% of referrals, in comparison to 16% last year.
