Royal School for the Deaf Derby – BSL Video
The Royal School for the Deaf Derby (RSDD) is a non-maintained day and residential special school with a nationwide catchment area.
There are approximately 120 children and young people on roll aged between 3 and 19.
All of the pupils have Education and Health Care Plans for hearing impairment.

Citizens Advice Derbyshire Districts
Whoever you are, whatever the problems, we are here to help.
We are a local charity that provides free, confidential, independent and impartial advice to everyone across Amber Valley, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Erewash and High Peak.
Our advice can help you find a way forward with your problems and includes:
- Help to claim Universal Credit and Money advice (Council Tax, rent, energy arrears, mortgage issues, court forms etc)
- Access for people who are deaf or have hearing loss.
- Consumer service, Energy advice, Pension Wise, Hate crime reporting
- Support for Young People, Older People Champions for Over 65s (attendance/carer’s allowance forms, lasting power of attorney etc.)
- A monthly drop-in service in our Chesterfield office, supported by BSL interpreters from the British Deaf Association.
