Teacher of the Deaf Team
We work with D/deaf and hearing-impaired children and young people, their families and schools. We offer information and support where hearing difficulties may be preventing learning or development. Every child or young person who is D/deaf or has a hearing impairment is different and strategies will depend on individual needs.

Our team will assess the learning needs of children and young people who are D/deaf or have a hearing impairment.
We will then offer advice on teaching strategies and how to manage the needs of a pupil and their access to the curriculum. This may involve advice on the use of certain equipment and access to communication methods. We will also monitor the needs, progress of and provision for the pupil.
