The League of Friends Summer Fayre will return on Saturday 12 July from 1pm – 4pm at Kingsway.
There will be a range of events and attractions including a bouncy castle, magic show, craft stalls, games, food stalls, raffle with the first prize of £100, a fancy-dress competition for children - aged between 0 – 13 years old and more. There will also be a dog show, with plenty of fun categories to enter your pet dog into and lots of prizes to win.
The League of Friends is a charitable organisation, run by volunteers, that supports the work of Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. All the money that the group raises is reinvested back into patient care across the county.
Mark Powell, Chief Executive at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, said: “As ever, we are pleased that our annual summer fayre will be returning once again to support the League of Friends charity and all the fantastic things they do. This year is particularly special as we celebrate the League of Friends’s 70th birthday – a fantastic milestone! We hope to see lots of people at the event.
“Any funds made from the day will go towards the League of Friends charity to support patient activities and materials. This will help the Trust to improve patient experience for those in our care, so it is important that this event is well attended.”
Entry to the Kingsway Summer Fayre and parking, as always, are free and everyone is invited to attend. For those who are not familiar with the Kingsway site, you can access to the Kingsway Hospital site is via the Kingsway roundabout, taking the Kingsway Boulevard turning for the Manor Kingsway housing development and then turning right onto Cherry Tree Close.
