Employment Support in IAPT

The Employment Advisors in IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapy) Service is here to help you with any employment needs, through one-to-one support at a pace that is right for you.

Whether you are employed, furloughed, looking for work, signed off work, facing redundancy, or affected by changes in the workplace or to your role, your Employment Advisor can offer tailored support towards your goal.

Employment Support in IAPT is offered by Ingeus who are working in partnership with Derbyshire IAPT providers. Support is available to all clients open to Talking Mental Health Derbyshire from the ages of 16 up to retirement age.

What we offer

  • A personalised employment service working alongside your therapy treatment plan. 
  • Advice and support in liaising with your employer to help them understand your needs at work.
  • Support to find the type of work that you want to do.
  • A tailored action plan that puts you in control of your future in work.
  • Help with your CV, cover letters and job applications.
  • Tips and advice on job searching - how to find the right job for you.
  • Ongoing assistance and guidance when you start or return to work.

How to refer

To apply for Employment Support in Talking Mental Health Derbyshire, you must have an open referral for mental health support with us. See how to refer to the service by going to our 'Contact Us / Refer Yourself' page.

If you are open to us for psychological support, please speak to your therapist at your next appointment who can arrange for the referral to be made.
