7 November 2025: new Kingsway facilities officially open

His Majesty’s (HM) Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire, Mrs Elizabeth Fothergill CBE, led a celebration event to mark the official opening of three facilities at our Kingsway Hospital site in Derby – the Carsington Unit, Kingfisher House (our male psychiatric intensive care unit) and Audrey House (our enhanced care unit for female patients). 10 October 2025: the Derwent Unit officially opens

HM Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire, Mrs Elizabeth Fothergill CBE, was our guest of honour on World Mental Health Day to celebrate the official opening of the Derwent Unit, our 54-bed unit on the Chesterfield Royal Hospital site.
