Results of the recent Trust elections for public governors and staff governors have now been confirmed.

Voting closed in the elections on 30 January 2023 and the following local residents have been elected as public governors, to sit on the Trust’s Council of Governors:

•    Amber Valley – Susan Ryan
•    Derby City East – Tom Bladen
•    Derby City West – Christine Williamson
•    High Peak and Derbyshire Dales – Brian Edwards.

There were no nominations for the Erewash area so this will be carried forward to the 2024 elections.

In the staff governor elections, Marie Hickman has been re-elected to represent administration and allied support colleagues and Varria Russell-White has been re-elected to represent the nursing workforce.

The Trust’s Council of Governors consists of a total of 16 elected public and staff governors, alongside representatives from local partners and councils (known as appointed governors), totalling 28 members.

The Council of Governors performs an important role. It is responsible for representing the interests of the Trust's members, the public and partner organisations, in how the Trust is governed. It meets four times a year in public and meets twice a year with the Trust Board.

Many thanks to everyone who took part in these governor elections.
