Local people who are part of the Derbyshire Healthcare community are being encouraged to fire up their imagination and creativity and share how they are ‘looking forwards’ after two challenging years, through an arts and crafts competition.

With the COVID-19 pandemic starting to recede, we are encouraging service users, carers, Trust members, Trust colleagues and other stakeholders and partners to send in images of their artwork and craftwork by 17 August. The entries will be showcased here on the Trust website and a panel of judges will select the best pieces of art and craft, handing out prizes to the winners that will include arts and crafts materials and certificates.

You can use any medium: paints, pencils, pastels, paper, material, ceramic, wood etc. We want people to share their hopes for the future now that many of the restrictions related to COVID-19 have been eased – and at the same time help raise awareness of our services and challenge health stigmas. The last year has been challenging for us all; we have been living with COVID-19 now for over two years and we want to share how you are looking forwards. We are keen to showcase your creativity and celebrate your achievements.

How to enter

Simply create your artwork and take a good quality photograph. Then fill in the entry form and send the image and the entry form to dhcft.membership@nhs.net

The entry must by your original work, and you must be the artist and creator.

The closing date is midnight on Wednesday 17 August 2022. The creators of the shortlisted entries will be invited to the Trust’s Annual Members Meeting on 21 September, where the winning entries will be announced and the prizes given.

Consent

By entering the competition, participants give their consent to Derbyshire Healthcare to use their name and/or entry in any publicity material; the artwork will be attributed to you unless you ask to remain anonymous. The copyright of the entry will remain with you, the participant.
