The Beeches mother and baby unit
The Beeches mother and baby unit (MBU) is a six-bed, self-contained inpatient unit based at the Radbourne Unit based on the Royal Derby Hospital site, providing specialist care for mothers and their babies.
Our service provides specialist assessment and treatment for women experiencing severe or complex mental health difficulties. Admission can take place from 32 weeks of pregnancy until a baby's first birthday.

Our compassionate team works alongside mothers, their families and other healthcare professionals to provide personalised care. The unit offers flexible visiting times to enable partners and families to visit and be part of the mothers recovery and care.
