Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service Rated Good by the Care Quality Commission

The Beeches mother and baby unit was inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) during an unannounced visit between 22 and 24 September 2026.

As part of the inspection, the CQC gathered feedback from patients, their families and carers, staff, managers and other stakeholders, alongside observing care and reviewing a range of documents, including care records, policies and procedures.

The inspection assessed all five key areas of care: whether services are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. 

All 33 quality statements were reviewed.

We are pleased that the service was rated Good, recognising the commitment and dedication of staff in providing high-quality care and support to women and families who use the service.
