Derbyshire Perinatal Community Mental Health

Derbyshire Perinatal Community Mental Health is a specialist service which provides treatment and care in order to support women and  birthing people who are experiencing moderate to severe and complex mental health difficulties associated with pregnancy and the postnatal period. 

The service has two bases which covers the North and South of Derbyshire and accept referrals from 12 weeks of pregnancy up until 24 months post partum. For those referred close to the 24 month period the service may only be able to offer an assessment and signposting to other relevant services.

Our multi-professional team consists of consultant perinatal psychiatrists, mental health nurses, psychologists and assistant psychologists, nursery nurses, peer support workers, experts by experience, occupational therapists, social workers, and an administration team.

We work together to provide specialist care and interventions, in the community, and on our specialist inpatient mother and baby unit.
