New Chair appointed to lead Derbyshire Healthcare

Caroline Maley appointed as Acting Chair of Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has today announced the appointment of its new Acting Chair, Caroline Maley. Caroline was appointed to this interim position at a meeting of the Trust’s Council of Governors this afternoon. 

Caroline replaces the Trust’s current Interim Chairman, Richard Gregory, who has provided leadership to the Trust for the last year.

An accountant by background, Caroline has served as a Non-Executive member of the Trust Board since January 2014. She is currently the Trust’s Senior Independent Director and chairs the Trust’s Audit Committee. Caroline was previously the Chief Executive of Derbyshire Health United.

Acting Chief Executive, Ifti Majid said: “I am very pleased about the appointment made by our Council of Governors this afternoon and warmly welcome Caroline to her new role within the Trust. I know she has great expertise and a strong commitment to our services and population. I look forward to working with her as Acting Chair.

“I also express my thanks to Richard Gregory for his contribution and support to the Trust over the last year.”

Caroline Maley commences as Acting Chair on 1 January 2017.
