Derbyshire Healthcare response to CQC inspection report

In response to the publication of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection report on 29 September 2016:

"Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust accepts the findings of the CQC’s planned inspection of our services.  Following the initial feedback received in June 2016 we have focused on the development of a thorough action plan, to promptly address all areas where the CQC outlined we could make improvements.  

"We are proud of the areas of good practice highlighted by this report, notably the CQC’s reflections that our staff are very caring, and that they consistently treat people with kindness, dignity and respect.

"The CQC’s reflection that our CAMHS services are outstanding demonstrates the Trust’s commitment to ensuring that young people have the best possible support in managing emerging mental health needs. We were pleased that the CQC commended recent innovations in this service, such as the new CAMHS RISE service, which supports the mental health needs of young people within an acute hospital environment, often at a time of crisis.

"The Trust acknowledges its rating of inadequate for the well led domain of the CQC’s report and is focused on improving leadership and processes in place for HR, governance and culture.  The CQC acknowledged the Trust’s recent improvements in this area following the well led review of January 2016, and also that the Trust has met the Fit and Proper Person requirement.

"We are committed to learning from this report and to improving our processes and services in order to provide the very best care we can to our service receivers."
